TED NUGENT - Interview And Performance Footage From Lopez Tonight Online

US rock legend TED NUGENT was a guest on the August 19th edition of Lopez Tonight, comedian George Lopez's talk show. The interview segment and Nugent's performance of 'Great White Buffalo' are available below.
As reported earlier this week by Matt Weiser from Sacbee.com, Nugent has pled no contest to two misdemeanor charges in Yuba County for poaching deer.
A statement from the rocker/hunter reads as follows: "You may have read the news that I pled no contest to two misdemeanor game violations. I should have been better informed, more aware and I take full responsibility. The honorable hunting lifestyle is my deepest passion."
Nugent has built a successful second career as an advocate of hunting and hunting ethics and has even loaned his celebrity visage to the cause of supporting California game wardens in their quest for better pay and working conditions.
But it was those same game wardens who brought a case against Nugent after watching him illegally kill a young buck deer on his own Outdoor Channel television show, Spirit Of The Wild.
Two game wardens saw the show when it aired for the first time in February, and one of them "just about fell out of his chair" when he saw what transpired, said California Fish and Game spokesman Patrick Foy. On the show, Nugent killed a deer with bow and arrow. But the wardens could see it was a "spike" buck, meaning its antlers had not yet forked, Foy said. It is illegal in California to kill such a young deer.
