Planet Rock Radio will air a one hour IRON MAIDEN special on Saturday (August 21st) at 6 PM (UK time). The show will be repeated on Thursday, August 26th at 11 PM.

A show description reads: "Iron Maiden released their 15th studio album, The Final Frontier, last Monday and in honour of this momentous occasion we thought we'd put together an hour special looking more closely at the record.

Liz Barnes spoke to Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris and Adrian Smith about the album in Chicago recently and in this exclusive special they talk about the making of the album, their favourite moments and about some of the tracks.

The Final Frontier, is on track to sell between 65,000 and 70,000 copies in the US in its first week of release according to industry website Hits Daily Double. The estimates are based on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores on August 17th. That number could secure the band a #3 spot on next week's The Billboard 200 chart behind EMINEM's Recovery and KEM's Intimacy: Album III.

According to Musicweek.com, Iron Maiden have taken a powerful lead in the race to top the albums chart this Sunday, with their new album The Final Frontier (EMI) selling more than three times as many as its nearest competitor, EMINEM’s Recovery (Interscope), so far this week.

The Final Frontier, the band’s 15th studio album, has sold more than 22,000 copies, while Recovery has sold around 7,000 this week in the UK, according to Official Charts Company midweek figures.
