hot flashes news trollfest

TROLLFEST, the band that defines it's sound as "True Norwegian Balkan Metal"

Those of you who were at the concert in Oslo the other night, will already have heard our latest news when we announced it on stage, but for everyone else, it is with the greatest of pleasure that we can confirm that Dag Stiberg aka 'Drekka Dag' is now a fully fledged member of TrollfesT. As most of you will know, Dag plays the saxophone, and does it with extraordinary style and technique so he fits right in with TrollfesT's other stylish techicos.., stylish... technicados..., stylish tec,. ... !! What the hell - he fits right in with the rest of us. He is known for his work with the band NOW WE GOT MEMBERS as well as with many, many other projects. We know there are many, many, other projects because he wrote down the list for us on a piece of paper, and we can confirm that there were indeed many, many of them listed on there. Unfortunately we don't know where the piece of paper is at the moment, but 'many, many' sounds very impressive anyway.

Here he is with us, not on a piece of paper, but live:

Permanent entry into the band is not an honour that is bestowed lightly. It requires the candidate to meet all the right criteria and have all the right attributes - looks, talent, personality etc. You know, all the kind of things you have to score out of 10 on one of those on-line dating questionnaires (or so we have been told), and to undergo a grueling initiation test. What this initiation test is, we are not at liberty to say. We would have said, but someone told us once that mysterious initiation tests make the Freemasons sound sexy, so we figured if it works for them...

We can, however, confirm that he did pass the test. We're not absolutely sure how he did it, because we went round to the pub and left him to it at one point, but he was still alive when we got back, so that's good enough for us. And of course he was given the traditional reward, which, apart ' from joining TrollfesT (as if that wasn't reward enough) is a laminated diploma signed by all the band members and a bottle of champagne. He really liked his diploma as you can see from the photo, but we don't know what he thought of the bottle of champagne because he ran off with it somewhere, and the next time we saw him it was empty. Maybe he poured it down the sink.

All joking aside, Dag is an extraordinarily talented musician, and we are not only delighted to have him join TrollfesT as a permanent member, we are also very proud that he is bringing his considerable skills to our line up. His contribution is a key aspect of the TrollfesT sound and we hope you will all raise a glass with us to welcome him to the band.

By the way, there is no truth to the rumour that our manager was seen rubbing her hands together and saying something about 'a few more members and I can get one of those glamour calendar photo shoots set up.'"
