GLYDER - "We Are Here To Help Save Rock And Roll"
August 28, 2010, 14 years ago
Irish rockers GLYDER have issued the following update:
"Its been a great week for Glyder, firstly ALICE COOPER played Glyder on his radio show which was syndicated all over the USA and RICK WAKEMAN played a track from the album (Yesterday Today And Tomorrow) on his Planet Rock show. Its been a tough ride with this album. It has received some great reviews but just never managed to get the attention it deserved. Maybe things are changing? Rick Wakeman said it wasn't instant but now 'he absolutely loves the album.' We know we made a cracking album but its not candy and needs more than one listen. No good album is instant you have to give it some time.
In this age we live in people want everything on demand and if its not instant gratification then its not for the masses.
There are politics behind the recent slating of our album in Classic Rock magazine and certain journos make judgements with the notions of how they think things ought to be rather than their ears. If its good enough for a world class musician like Rick Wakeman and good enough for a living legend like Alice Cooper then in my opinion its good enough for the world.
Believe me folks we are here to help save rock and roll and we need you to help us."
