hot flashes news scale the summit

Houston's instru-metal quartet, SCALE THE SUMMIT will hit the road Thursday for a short run of dates on the way to an appearance at Prog-Day Festival, America's longest running progressive festival, this weekend, in Chapel Hill, NC. The band has done a limited amount of touring since concluding a tour with BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, CYNIC and DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT earlier this year, in order to concentrate on writing the follow up to 2008's Carving Desert Canyons.

Guitarist Chris Letchford commented: "We're all really excited about this next mini-tour starting this week, this time to the east coast as we make our way out to Prog Day Festival. A lot of very different sounding progressive bands on the bill and it's an honor to be able to play it this year! Its a two day event in Chapel Hill, NC featuring HALF PAST FOUR, MAHOGANY FROG, BARRY CLEVELAND'S HOLOGRAMATRON, FLASH, SHADOW CIRCUS, MARS HOLLOW and THE MUFFINS. We'll be hitting the stage on Sunday, September 5th, second to last band, at 3pm sharp! On the way there we'll be playing Nashville, Atlanta and Wilmington. We'll be performing four brand new songs on this tour, so don't miss out!"

See the band at the following dates:

September

2 - Nasville, TN - The End

3 - Atlanta, GA - The Masquerade
4 - Wilmington, NC - The Soapbox Laundrolounge
5 - Chapel Hill, NC - Prog-Day Festival, Storybrook Farm
