Finnish epic power metallers THAUROROD recently inked a deal with Japan-based Spiritual Beast Records, who will release the band's debut Upon Haunted Battlefields in Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan on October 20th.

The album will be available in Europe on September 24th via NoiseArt Records.

'Warrior's Heart' - "In my opinion, Warrior's Heart is our most Thaurorod-like song. It goes straight into action and it has everything one killer Hero song needs! The middle parts give me a real Armageddon storm in my ass when playing on stage!!! This is also the song that led Thaurorod into a record deal with Noise Art Records and Rock the Nation." - Emil Pohjalainen (guitar)

'Cursed In The Past' - "'Cursed In The Past' is one of the oldest songs on the album but it's definitely one of the greatest! It has everything.. slow, fast, and progressive parts. Middle section is cool. First fast power metal chorus. Then moody synth part with bass solo and polyrythmic marching. After these a harder section with black metal elements and almighty blast beat!" - Joonas Pykälä (drums)

'Shadows And Rain' - "'Shadows And Rain' - this one is almost easy-listening stuff. Very catchy chorus and simple verse with back stepping drums. This song is about relationship between you and me, maybe there is some hope left, but I think everything is missed now, ho ho. Desperate song. I hope that some day people will sing along this song with us." - Markku Kuikka (vocals)

On September 24th, Thaurorod will embark on an European Tour supporting SABATON and ALESTORM before going on the road again Ffor the so-called Power Of Metal Touralongside NEVERMORE and SYMPHONY X in early 2011.
