Daath's fourth full-length release is going to be self-titled and is set for an October 26th North American release. The disc was co-produced by the renowned Mark Lewis (TRIVIUM, DEVILDRIVER) and Eyal Levi (guitars).

Check out the new track, 'Destruction/Restoration', now at this location.

Emil Werstler (guitars) states: “The track ‘Destruction/Restoration’ was an obvious choice when it came down to which song we wanted to debut. It flexes a little progressive muscle and has a few sharp turns transitionally. It is an aggressive and to the point song that does not expose very much or drop any hints of what to expect from the record. Some of the main ideas of the song are early 90's Florida death metal influenced while the chorus is much more melodic, which makes the song unique.”

Metal Mark from Skulls ‘N’ Bones recently spent some time in the studio with the band and compiled a video series documenting the recording process. Check out the fifth installment below featuring the synth tracking sessions.

Eyal Levi (guitars) further states: “Never say never. We made a decision in 2008; which was that if we were to ever include synth/keyboards in a major way on a future Daath record, that it would have to be completely different and far superior, in our opinion, to anything we’ve ever done with the instrument, as well as add a new dimension to the bigger picture. The role of the guitar in the overall sound of the band has grown far past what it used to be and it would be an insult not only to the music itself, but also to our fans to not reintroduce the synth aspect of our sound in an equally evolved way.

“Our friend and collaborator, Eric Guenther (FROM EXILE, LEVI/WERSTLER), contributed all of the synth, piano, and keyboards to the new Daath album. It was a natural fit. We’ve been friends for years and a good part of that friendship has included musical collaboration. From full albums to late night drunken jams the guy has become part of our circle of crazy musicians. The guy has methods and styles all of his own. He’s managed to find a way to use synthesizers in a way that compliments the overall sound of a raging metal band while remaining musical the entire time.”
