METALLICA Drummer Lars Ulrich - DIAMOND HEAD Saved My Life

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich has revealed to Triple M's Higgo, backstage before their Melbourne show at Rod Laver Arena, the band responsible for making Metallica the biggest metal band on the planet.
"It was the summer of '81. I'd been trying to get a band off the ground, [but] I got fed up with the whole thing. [So I took off overseas] to see DIAMOND HEAD who were my favourite band. I went to [see them play] and brown-nosed my way backstage and met them."Read more here.
