Report: The Rebirth Of VELVET REVOLVER?

The Toronto Sun reports: JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro has hinted one-time bandmate Duff McKagan's departure is linked to a VELVET REVOLVER rebirth.
The bassist quit the band at the beginning of September after just five months and three shows, and Navarro insists his band's loss is the gain of Slash's supergroup, which has been on hiatus since Scott Weiland was sacked as frontman in 2008.
But Navarro insists Velvet Revolver could be about to make a comeback.
He tells Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM, "Duff was with us for a little while. We wrote some songs with him, did a handful of shows... It was great; he's an amazing writer and an amazing player.
"At the end of the day, I think his band, Velvet Revolver, is trying to get their thing back together and they're auditioning singers (again)."And the guitarist assures fans the departure of two bass players in six months won't mean the end of Jane's Addiction: "As far as a bass player, we don't really have anybody right now in mind. The three of us - Perry (Farrell), Stephen (Perkins) and myself - are writing and hashing out the songs."
