GEORGE LYNCH, GARY HOEY Choose Canadian Guitarist As Superstar Champion

According to Digitaljournal.com, last weekend the 6th Annual Guitar Superstar competition took place in Livermore, California with acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Don Alder of Vancouver taking the top prize after getting the night's only standing ovation.
The competition was judged by some of the best guitarists around, George Lynch (ex-DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB), GARY HOEY, Reeves Gabrels who played for DAVID BOWIE for a decade and THE CARS' Elliot Easton.
Lynch said Alder's "performance was transcendental - it was beautiful" while Hoey said "the world needs to hear you." Reeves said "you drew us in" and Easton said "not only what you did on guitar was amazing, you entertained us".
