POWERGLOVE have officially announced their participation in the 2010 CMJ Music Marathon held in New York City this month. The band will take the stage at 8 PM at Fontana’s on October 23rd with WETNURSE, THE BINARY CODE, PACK OF WOLVES, MEEK IS MURDER and BATILLUS.

The band will also be doing an autograph signing in full costume at this year's New York Comic Convention on Friday, October 8th during a special event held in the famed "Autograph Alley" at table #10 from 5:30 - 6:30 at the Javits Center. They will be at booth #1684 otherwise picking fights with other costumed superheroes.

“Being the weirdos that we are, we sometimes are a bit out of place at some of the appearances. However, being surrounded by over 80,000 comic book and Anime nerds, along with legends such as Bruce Campbell and Stan Lee will make us feel right at home." says the band.

Powerglove are streaming their track 'Transformers', lifted from their new record, Saturday Morning Apocalypse, which is available online and in stores everywhere.

“We are Powerglove and we are here to f*ck with your childhood!” proclaims the band at the beginning of their live shows. After finding success mining the brains of the A.D.D. driven video game generation with songs like 'Tetris', Powerglove have set their sights on the inner child in all of us. To this end, the band has set its blasters from stun to kill; it’s target: the world!

Powerglove is composed of four battle-hardened rockers out of Boston, MA: Alex Berkson, Bassil Silver-Hajo, Chris Marchiel, and Nick Avila. This band shreds metal renditions of everything from old school 8- bit video game classics to contemporary blockbusters, all with a heavy metal attitude!

More full length audio clips from Saturday Morning Apocalypse, featuring Tony Kakko as a guest vocalist, have surfaced on YouTube. Check them out below.
