October 6, 2010, 14 years ago
According to movieweb.com, SLASH (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) is jumping into the horror business with his own production company called Slasher Films. He has teamed with Scout Productions to make a line of edgy thrillers that pay tribute to the gritty genre films of the late '70s and early '80s. The first project on Slasher Films slate is a creature feature called Nothing To Fear.
In a statement, Slash revealed, "I've always been a huge horror fan and creating films that take you back to the days where horror movies actually scared the hell out of you is something I've always wanted to do. My audience is made up of young, edgy, discerning consumers, with an appetite for quality and a hint of anarchy."
Nothing to Fear will begin production early next year, with a suspected 2011 Halloween release date.
