October 23, 2010, 14 years ago
FINNTROLL frontman Mathias "Vreth" Lillmåns recently launched a new side-project, THE INIQUITY DESCENT. They have issued the following update:
"The basic sound has been found and the first two songs of the EP are very near their final state, only some minor changes to do tomorrow. The overall sound is really great and powerful! The mixing session will continue throughout the weekend and next Tuesday is scheduled for mastering. The mastering will take place at Nordic Audio Labs by Sami 'Hannu' Koivisto and us."According to Lillmåns, the band's first release will contain four songs, although eleven songs have been recorded already. As previously reported, DECOMPOSTER, the death metal project featuring Lillmåns (vocals/bass) and fellow Finntroll Samuli "Skrymer" Ponsimaa (guitars) recently issued the following update:
"Another 3 tracks of groovy, old sounding death metal have been tracked. And as before, it took us 3 days to finish it. The session was a little more clear headed this time and more solidly executed to give you that sense of evolution within the band (keeping in mind that this is not what we can technically play at best, but merely what we want to hear). The same organic and fat overall sound has been preserved, which makes the music more ear friendly and interesting to listen.
Next up is the potential mixing/mastering process, cover art... the whole nine yards. So stay tuned!"
