Ol Drake, guitarist for UK bashers EVILE, has issued an update from their current North American tour via Hails And Horns. Check it out below:

"Just played an awesome show in Toronto. EARLY MAN unfortunately had van problems and missed the show, which meant we had to headline. We’d only had a 30 minute set rehearsed so far, so we had to wing the other 30 minutes of it. Surprisingly it went really well. FATALITY opened the show and slayed. Just before the last verse in 'Enter The Grave' I threw in the lick from 'Sweet Child O Mine', which caused Matt to laugh instead of sing. Metal.

Crossing the border earlier today, Mike G was paying the toll, and the woman dealing with us was the most miserable person ever. She spoke in grunts and no eye contact. When the transaction was complete Mike let out a 'Thank you, sir' as we drove away. Cheer up, dammit.

A few nights ago we played in Brooklyn, which was a great show. I still have a cold and did then, so I decided I won’t drink until I’m better. Mike G advised me to put a bit of Vodka in with the orange. A few hours later I must have accidentally walked down the road to another bar called the Watchless. Afterwards, a bit worse for wear, I must have said something about Mike G’s mother (completely innocent and joking), so he picks me up and runs down the street. Spinning me around we both fall over like idiots (I think there’s a video of this part), then he picks me up again and bodyslams me into a big pile of trash on the pavement. I didn’t feel anything so it’s all good.

Currently driving towards the USA/Canada border to hope we have another relatively smooth crossing, as they can be very not smooth at all. A band gains all kinds of attention at borders, and a lot of the time, not positive attention.

Buffalo next!"

Drake recently bungee jumped next to London's Tower Bridge along with Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas, raising £2000 for charity.

Ol Drake was dressed as a cowboy for the event, jumping in memory of late Evile bassist Mike Alexander and in aid of the British Lung Foundation. Alexander Milas, who was dressed as Zorro, jumped in memory of DIO and in aid of the RONNIE JAMES DIO Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.

Check out video footage of the jump below.

You can still donate to the British Lung foundation for Ol Drake's jump at this location or for Alexander Milas at this location.
