Soilwork issued the following update earlier today:
"It's been a while folks, but here we are: all the way in sunny Down Under for the second leg of our Worldwide Panic Tour. This time we were lucky (smart?) enough to arrive a few days early, allowing us to relax by the pool, chill with the koalas and ingest some fine grub. More than enough to get us ready and pumped for a kick-ass show at Brisbane's Hi Fi, packed with enthusiastic Soilworkers going berserk! Sydney and Melbourne were just as eager to be run over by the Swedish metal machine. Stunning shows I tell you, we were totally blown away! So, here's a HUGE thanks to each and everyone of you who got a ticket, shirt or VIP pass- you all rock big time!!
Coming soon: an exclusive video documenting the Panic Over Australia highlights."
As previously reported, Soilwork scanned 5,257 copies of The Panic Broadcast in its first week of sales in the United States according to Nielson Soundscan. That makes it the bands highest selling record in its first week ever, with Stabbing The Drama being a close second with 5,204 copies. The Panic Broadcast also came in at #88 on the US Billboard Top 200 Chart making it their highest charting record yet.
The Panic Broadcast, was released on July 2nd in Europe and July 13th in North America via Nuclear Blast.
Guitar World magazine recently posted an interview and lesson with guitarist Peter Wichers at this location. In the video Wichers breaks down riffs from their new album The Panic Broadcast and talks about his gear and influences as a guitar player.
The Panic Broadcast is the first album to feature original guitarist, songwriter and producer Peter Wichers since his return to the band in 2008. Produced by Wichers and mixed by Jen Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, KATATONIA, SYMPHONY X), this is the record long time Soilwork fans have been waiting for.
