BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION - the band featuring vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH, TRAPEZE), drummer Jason Bonham (LED ZEPPELIN), Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER) and blues rock guitarist JOE BONAMASSA - were interviewed by US radio/television personality Eddie Trunk recently and performed live at Sirius Studios in Rockefeller Center in New York. Glenn Hughes revealed this week that the band are working on a new album. "The studio is booked in Los Angeles for BCC 2 in January. Good times people, it's all about the music."
Black Country Communion's debut album Black Country was released by Mascot Records in the UK and the rest of Europe on Monday, September 20th, followed by a North American release through J&R; Adventures on Tuesday, September 21st, the album was produced and mixed by Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, IRON MAIDEN, AEROSMITH), and mastered by the legendary Bob Ludwig (METALLICA, QUEEN, RUSH).
According to a press release, Black Country Communion is a devastating head-on collision between American and British rock influences—a true supergroup that delivers a titanic rock experience greater than the sum of its supremely talented parts.
