Speaking with The Pulse Of Radio, METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich has issued the following statement:

"There's a bunch of balls in the air for 2011, but I think the main one is we really want to get back to writing again. We haven't really written since, what, '06, '07, and we want to get back to kind of just being creative again. Right now we are going to just chill out and then probably start up again in, I'd say, March or April, and start probably putting the creative cap back on and start writing some songs."

On November 4th, Metallica performed and actor/director Zach Braff hosted the release party for Activision's Call Of Duty: Black Ops, which hits stores today (Tuesday, November 9th).

ABC-TV's Jimmy Kimmel Live! will be showing footage of the event tonight (Tuesday, November 9th). The program airs at 12:05 EST/11:05 Central. Check local listings for broadcast times.

Activision's Call Of Duty: Black Ops event was held in Santa Monica, CA in Hangar Eight at the Santa Monica airport. Metallica.com has issued pro-shot footage from the event. Check it out below.

Funds were raised for non-profit organization The Call Of Duty Endowment, which assists soldiers making the transition to civilian life. Activision used the Call Of Duty event to announce that they would be donating $1 million to the endowment.
