Italy's SpazioRock.it has issued an interview with ANGRA's Kiko Loureiro, conducted by Alessandra Leoni. The following is an excerpt:

Q: How is (new album) Aqua going? Is it well received by the press and the fans?

A: "Yes, it's always well-received. In general, I feel that it's like that for every album. Since we don't do an album after the other, people are always excited about the new album and when they get that, they always find positive aspects of it. What I usually say is that an album is well-accepted also thanks to the time distance, because it helps you understand what happened in the album at that time. Now it's easier to talk about Rebirth or Holy Land and how these albums affected the scene, the band, the fans etc. You can also see which songs the fans remember the most. It's easier to analyze an album when many years have passed. So, when I do interviews people say, 'Oh, I like this', 'Oh, I like that'. You know, it's a record we've just finished work on and we have worked for so long on it, since the beginning and of course we really like the album and the comments are good. If somebody complains about it, we kinda expect that. So far, none complained about that, but if somebody says that it's too melodic or whatever, we are aware of that, because it's something we wanted to do. If a death metal fan says that there are too many ballads, well, that's just what we wanted to do. We know that we have fans that would like to hear to some ballads, instead of hearing double-bass all the time."
