The organizers of the annual Sweden Rock Festival have issued the following update:

"RAGE is unquestionably the most productive band in German metal history. Since 1986 they have so far produced no less than 19 studio albums, plus several EPs and live releases. This is even more impressive given the consistently high quality of their discography. Rage has even managed to create their own unique sound, featuring elements of heavy metal, thrash metal and power metal. What many people may not know is that the band's music also works very well in an acoustic setting. This is exactly what mainman Peavy Wagner, guitar-wiz Victor Smolski and drummer André Hilgers intend to demonstrate. That's right; at SRF 2011 Rage goes unplugged. Is there a chance we'll get to hear mega classic 'Don't Fear The Winter' in this stripped-down condition?"

As previously reported, OVERKILL and STYX have also been confirmed for next year's edition of the Sweden Rock Festival will take place from June 8th - 11th in Sölvesborg.

Confirmed acts also include: AGENT STEEL, FLÄSKET BRINNER, GROUNDHOGS, JASON AND THE SCORCHERS, MUSTASCH, OZZY OSBOURNE, RHAPSODY OF FIRE, SAXON, WALTER TROUT.

The tickets to Sweden Rock Festival 2011 are now released and you can buy them directly online at Swedenrock.com. The first 4000 ticket holders will also get a unique jubilee t-shirt.
