While in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan filming an episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, the KISS legend traded his bass guitar for a goalie stick as he played puckstopper during an intermission shootout when the Saskatoon Blades faced the Portland Winterhawks at Credit Union Centre last night (Friday, November 12).
Says Simmons: "Unbeknownst to me, right before half time, the crew comes over... ushers me into the dressing room, and they dress me up as a goalie!!! Here are (unfortunately) some photos of the momumental event. No. I haven't gained a ton of weight. That's the padding under me. And around me. Oh yeah, I stopped four out of six pucks headed towards me!!!"
Check out YouTube footage - which includes his actress wife Shannon Tweed dropping the ceremonial face-off - below.
Shannon Tweed attended Mount Royal Collegiate in Saskatoon.
