Update: SLIPKNOT - "No Plans To Make A New Album"
December 1, 2010, 14 years ago
Yesterday, Gary Graff of Billboard.com reported that SLIPKNOT is working on its next album - and first project since the death of bassist Paul Gray this past May.
Drummer Joey Jordison was quoted as saying, "It's already in motion. It's definitely exciting. It's a little emotional, of course, but I think it's going to be really, really cool and I think it's gonna be a really, really great record because everyone's really involved in the process." Further details can be found here.
Now Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor, who is currently on tour with his other band STONE SOUR, has issued the following response:
"Before anyone gets the wrong idea, let me be clear. I have NO PLANS to make a new Slipknot album any time soon. Shows? Maybe. Album? No. As for Joey's comments, he took that on himself to say that in print. I can think of 5 people in this band who haven't written/heard a thing."
