Stuff.co.nz has issued the following update:
AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd believes he is being treated unfairly by authorities who convicted him for possessing 27 grams of cannabis.
"Give me a fair go," he told SunLive during an interview at his home today.
Rudd was convicted in the Tauranga District Court yesterday for possession of cannabis found on his launch, Barchetta, on October 7th.
"They (police) have been trying to catch me on the road for a while too," he said.
News of the conviction has drawn many comments from the public and Phil says many people have sent him messages of support.
Community magistrate Robyn Paterson convicted him and during proceedings commented that he was "playing Russian roulette" by being in possession of cannabis.
"My only Russian roulette is surviving life on the road," says Phil.
