On Friday, December 11th, GUNS N' ROSES performed at the Kwinana Motorplex in Perth Australia. David Craddock from Perthnow.com has issued the following review:

The decision to stage last night's Guns N Roses show at Kwinana Motorplex, a bourbon-scented palace to testosterone and fast-living, was a masterstroke.

With big arena shows now rolling through Perth most weekends, putting the bombastic and cocky hard-rockers smack bang in the middle of a sticky, rubber-caked, drag strip gave this show a great point of difference.

However, like the glistening hotrods that greeted the 10,000-strong crowd that walked through the gates last night, the current incarnation of Guns N’ Roses is a tweaked and modified affair.

Eccentric frontman Axl Rose remains the band’s only founding member and engine room, but there are shimmering pyrotechnics, musicians for hire and endless costume changes to make up for the fact that the band’s original shell no longer exists.

That said, if ever there was a frontman to single-handedly preserve a band’s reputation, it is Axl Rose. The man has enough pomp, charisma and stage presence to transfix and entertain audiences, as he did last night. For two-and-a-half hours.
