December 20, 2010, 13 years ago
Kramfors/Umeå-based metallers APOSTASY recently announced that they had parted ways with guitarist Ludvig Johansson. An update from the band states:
"Apostasy is very pleased to present our new guitarist, Peter Huss.Peter Huss has done tons of session/live work and can play any type of music. He will be a great addition to Apostasy on our upcoming songwriting/recording/live/drinking sessions.
We're excited to have this amazing guitarist on board. And the best thing beside his chops is that he's a really nice and easygoing dude with a great sense of humor and great passion for music.
Peter also play guitar in the legendary Swedish band SHINING. He has toured with SINERGY 1999 as a session guitarist replacing Alexi Laiho. Some of the bands/albums Peter has participated on lately are Swedish death metal band RUINED SOUL, Dutch/Belgian death metal band UNLOCKED, Norwegian metal band PANTHEON I, and he did all guitars on the ISSA Sign Of Angels album with monster drummer Uli Kusch among others. Weird fact - Apostasy drummer Thomas Ohlsson is playing in the Issa 'I'm Alive' video.
Please help us welcome Peter Huss with a big cheers! It's time to open the gates!"
A previous message from Apostasy reads: "We have been offered a deal with Swedish Sony Music label, Rambo, and thus our third album, Nuclear Messiah, will be released in April.
Currently we are working on finishing the design for the album and so far it is going smoothly, until then, make sure to listen to our teaser on MySpace."
Apostasy recently updated their MySpace player to stream to pre-production tracks, to be included on their forthcoming new album. Check out the tracks at this location.
Swedish television SVT Play filmed Apostasy at the 2010 edition of the Rockweekend festival which took place in July in Kilafors (two hours north of Stockholm), Sweden.
