hot flashes news holy grail

Los Angeles-based metal band HOLY GRAIL conclude their tour as direct support to BLIND GUARDIAN tomorrow night, and wrap up what has been a very busy 2010. The band saw the release of their debut full length, Crisis In Utopia, and was also recognized with a nomination for Metal Hammer's Golden God Awards in the Best New Band category.

Their first video, for the track 'My Last Attack', has been receiving play at MTV2's Headbangers' Ball and on Canada's Aux.tv. That track is also in rotation at Sirius/XM's Liquid Metal.

The band also did treks throughout North America with AMON AMARTH, EXODUS, as well and the aforementioned Blind Guardian. They also appeared at several international festivals, including the UK's Download, Germany's Wacken and Japan's Loud Park. The band will head out again in early 2011 with previous tour mates, ELUVEITIE and 3 INCHES OF BLOOD.

Frontman James Luna commented on the Blind Guardian run: "This tour had been remarkable! We knew we really had to have our chops dialed in because the Blind Guardian fans are a very devout power metal fanbase, but night after night we win the crowd over one song at a time. At the start of our set they watch observantly with arms crossed, then halfway through you see them headbanging, and then by the final song they are pounding their fists in the air. It's been awesome to see that transformation of new fans! Blind Guardian and their crew has also been the best bunch of guys to tour with, this is by far one of the greatest tours we've done! I hope we get to do more together in the future!"
