MONGREL Bassist "Rev" To Leave Band In February
December 28, 2010, 13 years ago
Female fronted Boston-based rockers MONGREL has announced it is looking for a new bassist as their bassist of the last five years, Rev, will be stepping down at the beginning of February.
Band founder Adam Savage comments: "Rev has been a valued member of this band and good friend for five years now and while we're certainly disappointed he's not able to continue with the band, we certainly respect his decision, are on excellent terms with him, and wish him nothing but the best. Being the class act that he's been throughout his five years in the band, Rev let us know his intent to leave a couple months ago and still was more than willing to record his parts for our new full length album.”
Any bassists looking to audition can contact the band on their MySpace and Facebook pages or by email at mongrelmanagement@gmail.com.
Recording and mixing for Mongrel's new full length album (due out in April or May) was completed a couple of weeks ago by Jim Foster (NULLSET, POD, GRAVEYARD BBQ) at White Sight and Sound in Framingham, MA and will be the follow up to the band's Fall 2010 release, the six song, The New Breed of Old School EP which is available here.
