In spring 2012, Murmer Films will release United States Of Cabo, a film documenting the fans of SAMMY HAGAR (CHICKENFOOT, ex-VAN HALEN).

Produced and Directed by Murray Wasylnuk, United States Of Cabo sets out to capture intimate fan stories and experiences in an attempt to showcase the essence of what it means to be a Redhead! The film will include rare concert performance footage from Sammy Hagar and the Wabos and Chickenfoot.

Hagar recently issued the following update:

"What an amazing year this has been! Let's review, Chickenfoot in Cabo and Tahoe, AEROSMITH this summer, and a very very memorable Birthday Bash. Were the Wabos rockin' or what? Thanks to all of you for coming to this endless party.

As this year comes to a close I realize how many great great things I'm already looking forward to next year. I am buzzed about my book coming out in March, I worked on it all of last year but I have really worked on it for my whole life - if you can call that work. And we are trying hard on getting the new movie finished up so I can share it with all of you ASAP.

So many great things and all in the first few months of the year!

Oh yeah, I also want to raise a lot of money for kids this year and have a couple of crazy ideas on how to do it, with your help of course. Would any of you like to come to San Francisco and go into my studio and produce a record with me and the Wabos? Just asking.....

I'm raising a glass to all of you right now, I hope you have a fantastic New Year.

Hagar's autobiography RED: My Uncensored Life In Rock is set for release on Saturday, March 12th through HarperCollins. Hagar tells the outrageous and unbelievable stories of his rise through rock music, detailing how his voice became instantly recognizable all over the world. Lavishing readers with behind the scenes stories from Van Halen, one of the biggest rock groups in history, Hagar tells of the global stadium tours, private jets, parties, and of course the ups and downs that came with fame and success.

As previously reported, to celebrate the book’s release, Hagar will be making a special appearance at Canadian Music Week doing a special interview on Saturday, March 12th at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
