Veteran California rockers Y&T; organized a special New Year's Eve benefit concert for the band's original bassist Phil Kennemore who was recently diagnosed with metastatic cancer. The event was held on December 31 at the Avalon in Santa, Clara, California and featured guest appearances by members of such acts as QUEENSRŸCHE, TESTAMENT, DOKKEN, KEEL and HEAVEN & HELL.

A parade of rock stars banded together to support Y&T; bassist, Phil Kennemore, who was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer while on tour this past summer. Due to the overwhelming medical bills, Y&T;'s lead singer and best mate, Dave Meniketti, started the Phil Kennemore Fund to help Phil with his bills. This New Year's concert is the ultimate fund-raiser for a friend who has made such a positive impact on the music scene. Footage from the benefit show featuring QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate, KEEL vocalist Ron Keel, TESTAMENT singer Chuck Billy, and DOKKEN vocalist Don Dokken is available below.
