According to Martin Kielty from Rock AAA, an unreleased Phil Lynott track has appeared online on the 25th anniversary of the THIN LIZZY star’s death.

The Story of My Life, available below, features Snowy White on guitar and was recorded during 1981 sessions which spawned the unsuccessful single Trouble Boys. At the time band members weren’t clear on whether they were recording for the upcoming Lizzy album, Renegade, or working on solo Lynott material.

In other news, Rock Radio DJ Paul Anthony has released the last-ever radio interview with Lynott, recorded just a few months before his death on January 4, 1986. During the conversation he expressed his regret over Thin Lizzy’s split, saying: “I miss lots of things, Lizzy’s like a girlfriend you can’t go back to. I’m in love with the idea of being with her again, but it’s impossible. You can’t really go back.”

Check out the entire interview here.

Thin Lizzy have embarked on a European Tour featuring the 2011 line-up of guitarist Scott Gorham, drummer Brian Downey, singer Ricky Warwick (THE ALMIGHTY), guitarist Vivian Campbell (DEF LEPPARD) and keyboardist Darren Wharton.
