Since coming off the road in late November, WARBRINGER are spending time at home writing their third album, to be recorded this spring.

Taking some time off from playing live shows is difficult for a band who for the last three years have performed 300 dates annually on average, along with a handful of HALFORD shows in December. The group will be performing at tonight's SEPULTURA and ANGRA show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. This is part of a special exclusive pair of Southern California shows the two Brazilian bands are doing, but tonight's show will also be special for one more important reason as it marks the last time drummer Nic Ritter will be performing with Warbringer.

Nic has been an important part of Warbringer since joining in the summer of 2008, having won the audition process in between the band's two European tours and completing the touring for the band's debut before working with the guys to write and record the second album, Waking Into Nightmares, released in 2009. Now, after a two-year international touring cycle, Nic and the band have decided to collectively part ways.

Nic had this to say about his decision, "I felt like it was time for a change both musically and personally. All is good between the guys and myself as this was a mutual decision. I wish them the best in the future and with the next album."

"Nic Ritter is an incredible drummer and we wish him the best of luck! I know he made a lot of friends around the world and I just want everyone to understand that our decision to part ways was mutual and necessary," added Warbringer guitarist John Laux. "Nic has worked very hard with us over the last 2 years and we are grateful for his contributions musically and his commitment personally on the road. Cheers man!"

In the meantime, Warbringer have been writing and practicing with a new drummer and will perform their first show together as part of the Eyescream Festival in Mexico City on March 5th alongside ASESINO, ANVIL, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS and TOXIC HOLOCAUST.
