BW&BK; scribe Mark Gromen has checked in with the following:
On Friday night, January 14th, MANOWAR bassist/mainman Joey DeMaio called into Bill Peter's long running Metal On Metal radio show on WJCU to discuss the pair of excluisve North American concerts at the Cleveland Agora (March 11th and 12th).
DeMaio: "That's 99.9% true, we've added a show on the East coast (The Palladium, Worcester, MA on March 5th). If people are questioning the price of a Manowar ticket, stay at home and play with yourself. You're not a Manowar fan! They don't mind when they blow (money) on coke, hookers or booze, bowling or pool. To give to your fans, it costs money. Tell the fans to go to Facebook and let us know what they want to hear. I'm not just saying that to scratch somebody's ass, we really mean it! We want them to be happy. They're coming from all over the world. It will be recorded, that's why we've added the second date, so we can do all kinds of crazy stuff."
On upcoming projects: "As we get into the next couple of years we're going to go into the archives, lots of stuff. We're working on a DVD right now about the making of Battle Hymns, complete with exclusive old photos, footage."
On the Magic Circle festivals: "We've been discussing possibly bringing it to the States. You never know. It might be right there in Cleveland."
As previously reported, the March 12th show is sold out. Manowar's lone UK date has official sold out as well. The O2 Academy in Birmingham has released an official statement announcing that there are no tickets left.
"Manowar's British fans have shown the world that TRUE metal is not dead in the UK! Manowar will shake the ground and blow the roof off the O2 Academy in Birmingham on March 27 2011, during their only UK appearance! Death To All Disbelievers! Fuck The World! Hail And Kill!"Upcoming Manowar tour dates:
