hot flashes news amaranthe

Swedish/Danish power/melodic death metal band AMARANTHE have issued the following update:

"Today we started the shooting of our first, yet very epic video! The video his a huge project that will be shot over one week and many different locations - so far we are keeping most of the details a secret as not to spoil the surprise, but it is going to feature explosions, fast cars and other even faster vehicles!

First day of shooting was awesome - very relaxed, fun and professionally arranged, Patric Ullaeus is a true master of the art!

More updates as we continue filming, so stay tuned!"

With a brief Twitter update back in December, stating, "Breaking the champagne, album is DONE!", Amaranthe announced the completion of their forthcoming debut full-length album, expected to be released in spring 2011 via Spinefarm Records.

Amaranthe recorded the album with Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, MERCENARY, NIGHTRAGE) of Hansen Studio in Ribe, Denmark. The band recently posted the sixth and seventh in a series of studio video blogs. Check out all seven available video blogs below.

Stay tuned for further album updates.

Amaranthe are set to support SYMPHONY X, on March 26th in Tunis, Tunisia, at the 8eme Festival Méditerranéen de la Guitare.

Commented guitarist Olof Morck: "Naturally it is a great honour for us to make our first show for our friends in Africa, and even before our debut album is out at that! Tunisia seems to have a great metal following, and Amaranthe will be proud to apear with Symphony X to conquer the ancient grounds of mighty Carthage! See you all there, crazy Tunisians!"
