Spanish death metallers DARKNESS BY OATH have issued the following update to let you know about the current status of the songwriting for their third longplaying album.

Says the band: "We are currently working on our third full length album as you read this. The new album will be called Near Death Experience. We are arranging some pre-production issues before entering the studio. The definitive recording sessions will start by middle March early April. The album will include 10 tracks, and some song titles are decided by now. You’ll find songs like 'Fallen Angel Of Death', 'Last Emotion' 'NDE', 'In An Obscure Eternity' to name a few.

This new CD will include the new Darkness by Oath lineup, guitarist Alain joined DBO in April 2010. So here’s the current lineup in case you don’t know."

Alain Castaño (Guitars)

Tristan Iñiguez (Guitars)

The band continue: "Apart from this, there would be some guest appearences in this our third album, some well known names and talented musicians that we really admire. It's fucking great to have them in our album!! We're eager to let you know who they are and will do it when the time is right.

Some changes at our Myspace site are being made too, related with the new album layout and design (done once again by Nahikari Lazaro – Auryn Digital), and looks really cool by the way. A video clip of the title track was recorded some time ago, and we’ll probably release it by the time the album’s out. Maybe a little preview could be available soon, who knows.

Some shows are being planned as well, we’ve a couple of offers to participate in two festivals in our area, and at the same time we are working on some dates around Europe. Hopefully we would be able to confirm them soon, we’re eager to play live!

Well, that’s more or less what’s going on at the DBO camp. More news soon!"
