Tom Cruise "In Final Negotiations" To Star In Rock Of Ages Film

According to Theatermania.com, Tom Cruise is in final negotiations to play the bad-boy rock star Stacee Jaxx in the film version of the musical Rock of Ages, says published reports. As previously announced, Adam Shankman is directing the picture.
Rock Of Ages follows the same route as such popular shows as Mamma Mia! and We Will Rock You, in that in combines a storyline with existing song hits. In this case, the tunes are from the likes of JOURNEY, PAT BENATAR, WHITESNAKE and other '80s favourites. ("Don't Stop Believin'" is the singalong finale.)
