NEVERMORE bassist Jim Sheppard recently underwent surgery to remove a benign brain tumor. Rather than cancel their planned European tour, the band brought in ONE UNDONE's Dagna Barrera as a temporary replacement. Barrera previously toured as a member of Nevermore frontman Warrel Dane's solo band.

Footage of Barrera on stage with Nevermore is available below:

During the creation of Nevermore's largest album, The Obsidian Conspiracy, BraveWords.com caught up with Sheppard at the Wacken Open Air. "In the last few years Nevermore experienced some down time due to my health (Sheppard underwent a procedure for Crohn's disease which he has suffered from for over 15 years) and I think it had a lot of impact on some of the song-writing. I feel like an outsider coming back into Nevermore after what I've been through, the health issues and stuff."
