TRIGGER EFFECT - New Album Due Later This Month
March 3, 2011, 13 years ago
Montreal’s TRIGGER EFFECT will finally be releasing their long-awaited sophomore album on March 29th via Indica Records entitled Versitis Maximus. The band will be touring across Canada and the US throughout the spring to promote their new release.
Trigger Effect's first album Dare to Ride the Heliocraft was released in 2007 and incited a DIY odyssey that lasted more than two years and saw them destroy every venue, theater, punk squat, festival, bar, dive and party in North America and Europe. In 2009 they further defined their mission with the release of the 7-inch EP Friendship.Adventure.Music. ?
Recorded and mixed by Adrian Popovich (TRICKY WOO, PRIESTESS, SAM ROBERTS, THE DEARS and SEBASTIAN GRAINGER) their latest chapter in heavy punk music Versitis Maximus was initially self released on the band's own Turbo Machine Enterprises (the moniker under which they operate their various events and endeavours including the Fear and Loathing in Montreal festival) in spring 2010. After another round of touring North America and Europe the band is pleased to begin working with longtime friends Indica Records in Canada and newfound friends Chainsaw Safety in the US. ? ?Catch Trigger Effect on tour this spring/summer. More tour dates to be announced shortly.
