Swedish/Danish power/melodic death metal band AMARANTHE will release their self-titled debut studio album, produced by Jacob Hansen, on April 13th via Spinefarm Records. Check out the album artwork below:

Amaranthe recently released their new single, 'Hunger', at the Swedish iTunes store at this location.

To support the release of the album, Amaranthe, will be special guests of KAMELOT on two UK dates in April. Of course, Swedish vocalist Elize is no stranger to Kamelot’s music, having performed live with the band throughout 2010.

Amaranthe are set to support SYMPHONY X, on March 26th in Tunis, Tunisia, at the 8eme Festival Méditerranéen de la Guitare.

Commented guitarist Olof Morck: "Naturally it is a great honour for us to make our first show for our friends in Africa, and even before our debut album is out at that! Tunisia seems to have a great metal following, and Amaranthe will be proud to apear with Symphony X to conquer the ancient grounds of mighty Carthage! See you all there, crazy Tunisians!"

Amaranthe are also confirmed for the Metal Female Voices Fest 2011, which is scheduled for October 21st - 23rd at Oktoberhallen in Wieze, Belgium.
