ROB ZOMBIE inducted ALICE COOPER into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony on Monday night (March 14th) at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. Honoured alongside singer Alice Cooper himself were drummer Neal Smith, bass player Dennis Dunaway, keyboardist Michael Bruce and the late Glen Buxton, who died of complications from pneumonia in October 1997.

During his induction speech Rob Zombie remarked: "They were more than a band - they were a murderous gang of drag queens in a good way. Their mission was to destroy the hippies' dreams of peace, love and understanding. And before Alice Cooper, there wasn't a rock show. He invented the rock show."

With pet yellow boa constrictor around his neck, Cooper talked about the honour: "I kept thinking about who would be the first band kicked out of the Hall Of Fame and I thought, that could be us. I think we need more subversives in the Hall Of Fame."
