Spinner's Chris Mugan reports:
A coroner has ruled that the death of ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA founder Michael Edwards was accidental, despite claims it could have been prevented.
Former ELO cellist Michael Edwards died instantly last September when a 400kg bale rolled 200ft down a hill and hit his water bottle delivery van on a road in Devon, as Spinner related at the time.
At the inquest, a Health and Safety Executive Inspector suggested the bale had not been secured properly, The Sun reports. After the verdict, Edwards' brother David released a statement asking the coroner to recommend the executive revise its guidelines on baling.
