BILLY IDOL / CAMP FREDDY guitarist Billy Morrison has checked in with the following update:
"I'm honored to tell you that a group of us have been invited to play an intimate acoustic performance at the Playboy Mansion on April 30th as part of the 55th Thalians Gala. The event is hosted by Debbie Reynolds and Ruta Lee and honors Mr. Hugh Hefner for a lifetime of philanthropy and also his 85th birthday. Proceeds will go to Operation Mend, helping wounded veterans. So I've embraced that bandwagon and jumped on board - I've been having fun with those apps for a while and love the idea of having a photo blog, shot entirely on the phone. That's all I have for you right now - giving up smoking and nursing some damaged lower back muscles have had me lying around like a slob for a week or so. It doesn't hurt me at all to take that time to do absolutely nothing. I've played a ton of new video games (Bulletstorm and Homefront rock and are completed - Killzone 3.... just getting into it now) and haven't smoked in 10 days. The back is slowly fixing itself and I feel healthy again and ready for action. I may just fire the studio computer up today and take a look at some of the material I wrote with Steve Stevens and some friends last year. Who knows - there may be a record in there somewhere.
