hot flashes news avenged sevenfold glamour of the kill

Eric MacKinnon at RockAAA.com recently caught up with UK-based GLAMOUR OF THE KILL frontman Davey Richmond to discuss the band's rise to fame. An excerpt is available below:

The York metal band have been riding the crest of a wave in recent years since their debut EP was given a staggering ten out ten review. Since then they have toured relentlessly, supported one of their biggest musical inspirations and now finally released their first full-length album The Summoning.

Richmond continued: "It’s been great so far. It’s a bit crazy that it has taken so long for us to get our album out, but now it is out it has done really well. I think it’s just touring really which has held it up. We’ve toured the hell out of our EP and we wanted to make sure people knew who we were before we got the album out. It’s nice to have people coming to our show and sing the words. That is everything we ever hoped for. Now all we need to is to keep growing as a band and releasing new albums and making sure everyone loves them."

"There is nothing better than standing on stage side-by-side with your best friends. Sometimes at festivals you do think 'Wow, all these people have come to see us...' which is a crazy feeling."

“Touring with AVENGED SEVENFOLD was a really big thing for us, and that was one of the first tours we ever did. It was insane to have the chance to support a band who had influenced us so much. They were amazing guys and we are actually still in touch with some of them now. It was all good and Matt (M Shadows) was the first guy to come up to us. We also had the chance to hang out and have a drink with the Rev which was special too.”
