QUEEN Announce Japanese Release Date For Deep Cuts: Vol. 1 (1973-1976); Songs For Japan To Be Released On Double CD

The new release date for QUEEN's Deep Cuts: Vol. 1 (1973-1976) in Japan has been announced. The original date had to be postponed due to the earthquake and tsunami that hit the Asian country. The compilation album will be finally issued on Wednesday, April 13th.

In other news, the Songs For Japan benefit album, featuring Queen alongside several mainstream artists, will be issued as a double CD.

Queen's classic track, 'Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)', featured on the British rock legends' 1976 album, A Day At The Races', is included on Songs For Japan, benefitting the Japan Disaster Relief.

In what stands as a major global music relief effort to benefit those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, over 30 of the biggest names in contemporary music have joined together for the worldwide release of Songs for Japan, an unprecedented compilation of 38 chart-topping hits and classic tracks, available worldwide on the iTunes Store for $9.99. Proceeds from the album's sale will benefit the disaster relief efforts of the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Other artists featured on Songs For Japan include BON JOVI, FOO FIGHTERS, KINGS OF LEON, R.E.M., BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, ELTON JOHN, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, U2, JOHN LENNON and many more.
