ANVIL Frontman To Guest On Cleveland's Metal On Metal
April 1, 2011, 13 years ago
Guitarist/vocalist Steve ‘Lips’ Kurdlow of Canadian heavy metal legends ANVIL will guest on WJCU's "Metal On Metal" radio program tonight (Friday, April 1st) at 8:00 p.m. EST. Lips will discuss and premiere new music from the band's forthcoming new Juggernaut Of Justice album, due out May 10 via The End Records
You can listen to the show live at 88.7 FM in the Cleveland, Ohio area or stream it live worldwide at WJCU.org.
“This is the best Anvil album since Forged In Fire”, says “Metal On Metal” show host Bill Peters. “The songs are meaner, faster and noticeably more aggressive than on previous post-classic period Anvil releases. Lips is ripping out some of his best leads ever and his vocals are dead on throughout the entire album. My current favorite is ‘When All Hell Breaks Loose’ but it seems to change by the hour. There’s not a weak track on here. The entire band is, without question, on top of their game. This is the Anvil we all know and love and how longtime fans like me have wanted them to sound like again. Highly recommended!”Juggernaut Of Justice was recorded at Dave Grohl's (NIRVANA, FOO FIGHTERS) Studio 606 in Northridge, California with famed producer Bob Marlette (BLACK SABBATH, AIRBOURNE, FILTER, ATREYU, ALICE COOPER). Prior to the arrival of the new album, The End will release the definitive Anvil anthology. The collection will be comprised of classics old and new, with some surprises, and will showcase the band's entire career spanning back to 1978.
