HAMMER HORDE Part Ways With Bassist, Announce Replacement; Complete Work On Sophomore Album
April 1, 2011, 13 years ago
Epic Viking metallers HAMMER HORDE have issued the following update:
"After great consideration, we’ve decided to part ways with original bassist Ben McGeorge. It has come to the point where the expectations of the band could no longer be met, leaving us with little to no choice but to ask Ben to take his leave. We want to thank Ben for his time and cooperation in Hammer Horde, and for the many fun times shared together throughout the years. We wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors, both personal and musical.Filling in will be longtime friend and guitarist Jason Reynolds (pictured at left), who heartily embraced our offer to join the band as our new bassist. So, we ask you all to raise your tankards high as we welcome Jason Reynolds into the Hammer Horde family!
We had a few choices in mind, but Jason was just a perfect fit. He’s shown the most devotion and has already impressed us with his skills and commitment to the band. His playing style and attitude is great and we’re confident that his talents will bring a new dimension to our music. We think this new line-up will be incredible, and we look forward to taking the band’s performance to the next level.
At this point in time, things are looking promising for HH; we're constantly moving forward and ready for new challenges that lie ahead.
In other news, the recordings for our second album, Vinlander, have been completed. The mixing process will be held off for now as we concentrate on rehearsing for our appearance at the 8th annual Ragnarök Festival in Lichtenfels, Germany on the 29th and 30th of April, 2011."
