Drummer Marquis Marky (aka Marky Edelmann; ex-APOLLYON SUN) from legendary Swiss thrash trio CORONER will guest on Tony Webster's (ARCHETYPE singer) The Metal Command radio show this Friday, April 15th.

Says Webster: "I don't know how to exactly put this into words, but I am beyond excited to air this interview for all of you. Coroner is by far one of, if not THE best Technical Thrash band of all time. They have recently reformed to play some live shows. Coroner is a band with an interesting career. They went from being a standard speed metal and thrash band to playing some of the most diverse song-structures ever written in this genre. For years after they had broken up Coroner's music has still retained a good following. Their music has also influenced a slew of musicians including the guitar player in my own band. What surprised me was the lack of press this band has received here in the USA for their appearance at the Maryland Deathfest. So I decided to find a way to contact them and eventually did. This interview is with Coroner drummer Markus Edelmann and will broadcast this Friday on my show! So listen in at 11pm EST for an exclusive interview with Coroner drummer Markus "Marky" Edelmann! I for one am excited for this interview as this is one of the most underrated and overlooked metal bands of all time and it is truly an honor to be able to talk to someone from this band!"

The reunited Coroner have confirmed two shows this year: the Impetus festival on April 23 at les Docks in Lausanne, Switzerland and an exclusive US appearance at Maryland Deathfest IX, which will take place May 26-29 at Sonar in Baltimore.

Coroner were originally road crew for CELTIC FROST and eventually formed their own group, recording their demo Death Cult in 1986 with Tom G. Warrior of Celtic Frost on vocals. Their first full-length album R.I.P., released in 1987, featured bass player Ron Broder on vocals and he assumed the role for the rest of the group's existence.

The group released several albums through to 1993, ending with a greatest hits collection, Coroner, in 1995. After disbanding in 1995 The Unknown Unreleased Tracks 1985-95 was released in 1996.

Coroner appears on Brütal Legend with the song 'Skeleton On Your Shoulder'.
