DIAMOND HEAD Confirm Detroit Date With GIRLSCHOOL, AL ATKINS

According to the Detroit-based venue Blondies' Myspace Page, NWOBHM stalwarts DIAMOND HEAD and GIRLSCHOOL, as well as original JUDAS PRIEST vocalist AL ATKINS (HOLY RAGE) and HYDROGYN, have confirmed a live date on Friday, August 26th. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
Diamond Head were recently confirmed for both of Canada's leading metal festivals, Heavy MTL and Heavy T.O. - their first shows ever in the country - which will take place in July. More details here.
Girlschool are currently in the studio re-recording their classic 1981 album, Hit And Run. It will be released in 2011 to celebrate the album's 30th anniversary. Further details to follow.
Atkins released his book, Dawn Of The Metal Gods: My Life In Judas Priest & Heavy Metal, co-written with Neil Daniels, in 2009.
