Perth Fans Get Up Close With AC/DC

Museums are usually quiet places, but that is set to change.
The AC/DC exhibition has rolled into town, and their classic guitar riffs will fill the halls of the Western Australia Museum.
The free AC/DC Australia’s Family Jewels Exhibition features more than 400 pieces of memorabilia, including costumes (some handmade by Angus Young’s mother Margaret) instruments, handwritten lyrics, posters and stage props.
Late singer Bon Scott’s family donated many personal items including his passport, clothing, photographs and postcards. Immigration papers belonging to the families of Bon Scott and the Young brothers also feature.
Scott’s mother Isa now lives in a Fremantle nursing home. At 94, she is too frail to visit the exhibition.
The curators spent more than 18 months gathering items for display.

The exhibition runs from April 16th to August 7th. Admission to the WAM is free, although a donation of AU$5 is suggested.
Daily opening hours at the museum are from 9:30 to 17:00 local time.
