METALLICA are officially confirmed to perform at Quebec's Summer Festival (Festival D'été De Québec) on July 16th in Québec City, Québec. Also performing on the 16th are JOE SATRIANI and DANCE LAURY DANCE.
Quebec's Summer Festival has been taking place annually since 1968. This year the Festival runs from July 7 - 17th and will attract 1.5 million festival goers, making it Canada's largest outdoor performance. Bands from the worlds of rock music, punk, hip-hop, classical music, francophone music, and world music perform on twelve indoor and outdoor stages. In all, more than 1,000 artists and close to 300 shows!
Quebec's Summer Festival is a major cultural enterprise that generates $25.4 M in added value for Québec and $7.4M in provincial and federal tax and parafiscal revenues. Still Quebec City’s best-loved event, the Festival now draws more and more tourists and foreign media to town.
