CHILDREN OF BODOM have issued the following update:

"The book shoot for the first ever Children Of Bodom photo book (out later this fall) starts tonight at the band's concert in Warsaw, Poland! The photography will continue tomorrow in Prague, and in many of our other upcoming shows this year.

The photo book is dedicated to the whole worldwide Hate Crew and that's why we want you to be in it. We've been shooting life on the road, the Hate Crew and all kinds of crazy shit for over two years. We'll let you know soon how you can submit your own photos for the book and for other fans to see."

Fresh from completing a run of seven headline shows in the UK and Ireland as part of their current Ugly World Tour, Children Of Bodom have been confirmed to play at Download 2011; they will appear on the 2nd Stage on Friday, June 10th.

The five – led into action by guitar star Alexi Laiho – will be supporting this one-off UK festival showing with a brand new single, the third to be drawn from their new Relentless, Reckless Forever album (their seventh to date), which has already sold well in excess of 100,000 copies worldwide and has been certified gold in their home country of Finland.

The single in question is ‘Shovel Knockout’, and it will be available – via Spinefarm – both as a limited edition coloured vinyl 7” plus a digital download; the bonus material will be drawn from COB keyboard player Janne Warman’s solo recordings, some of which feature Alexi as special guest.

In addition to the dextrous Warman / Laiho pairing, the COB line-up is completed by Roope Latvala (guitar), Jaska Raatikainen (drums) & Henkka Blacksmith (bass).

Children Of Bodom has announced a North American headlining tour in support of Relentless, Reckless Forever. The North American leg of the Ugly World Tour will kick off in Los Angeles on June 24th and run through July 24th in Montreal, where COB will perform alongside KISS, MOTÖRHEAD and more as part of the Heavy MTL hard rock festival.

"We are psyched to see all of our friends in North America and to play our new songs live for all of the Bodom maniacs," commented COB guitarist / vocalist Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho. "Get ready to throw it down!"

Support on the Children Of Bodom tour will come from DEVIN TOWNSEND, with openers OBSCURA and SEPTICFLESH rotating positions each night.
