The JIMI HENDRIX Estate Files Lawsuit Over Royal Albert Hall Recordings

The JIMI HENDRIX Estate is currently engaged in a legal battle over the rights to recorded performances from over 40 years ago.

Hendrix’s family has filed suit against an unnamed company, laying claim to recordings from two concerts held at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1969. However, existing court papers claim that the late guitar hero signed an agreement with the people who recorded the music at the time of the two shows, allowing them to use the recordings for a future movie.
